Daniel Louis Parmenter, a 20-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on February 14, 2008, during a mass shooting at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in DeKalb, Illinois. Parmenter, a sophomore studying finance, was known for his towering presence and kind-hearted nature. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and played on the NIU rugby team.
