Salisha DeBerry, a 23-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on June 22, 2009, in Decatur, Illinois. The incident occurred during a home invasion at her residence on Cottage Hill. The Decatur Police Department responded to the scene and discovered that Salisha had been murdered.

Salisha was born on September 13, 1985, in Decatur, Illinois, to Mikel DeBerry and Alicia A. Ingram. She worked at Family Dollar in Decatur and was a member of Love Fellowship Christian Church. ...
