Derrick Burrows, a 30-year-old African American man from Hillside, Illinois, was fatally shot on June 13, 2013, in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred when Burrows and a friend were parked in the 5400 block of West Quincy Street, blocking traffic. Another vehicle attempted to pass, leading to a confrontation.
