Miguel Navarette, a 15-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed on January 26, 2014, in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. when Miguel was standing outside a car parked on 30th Street near Kedvale Avenue. He was with two adults and their children when an SUV approached. Martin Miranda, 19, who was in the rear seat of the SUV, lowered the window and shouted a gang slogan, "2-6," associated with the 2-6 street gang. Miguel responded with "Wh ...
