Andre Bradford, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 27, 2013, in the West Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. while Bradford was walking down the sidewalk in the 1600 block of West 59th Street. A male gunman approached and opened fire, striking Bradford in the back of the head. When first responders arrived, Bradford was unconscious and was quickly transported to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
