Thomas Jones III, a 41-year-old African American man, was found fatally shot on July 11, 2020, in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Officers responding to ShotSpotter reports of gunfire at 1:04 a.m. discovered Jones in an alley in the 7000 block of South King Drive. He had been shot in the back and chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
