Mario Jaime, a 35-year-old man, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in Chicago's Gage Park neighborhood on May 5, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. near the 5200 block of South Washtenaw Avenue. Jaime, a resident of the same block, was standing near the sidewalk when a vehicle approached, and an occupant opened fire. He sustained gunshot wounds to the face and abdomen. Emergency responders transported him to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:41 p.m.
