Willie Cooper, a 58-year-old African American community leader, was tragically killed on July 15, 2017, in Chicago's Far South Side. Cooper was the principal officer of Lilydale Outreach Workers for a Better Community, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing jobs for South Side teens and reducing violence in the community.
