Hughvon Polk, a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 24, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, specifically in the 1100 block of North Keeler Avenue. Hughvon was driving a red van with a 21-year-old male passenger when several individuals opened fire from across the street. Hughvon was struck in the left side of his chest and left arm.
