Corey Williams, a 29-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on February 6, 2014, in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. in the 8100 block of South Marshfield Avenue. Corey Williams was found unresponsive on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the chest after police responded to a call of shots fired. He was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn an hour later.
