Gakirah K.I. Barnes, a 17-year-old African American female, was fatally shot on April 11, 2014, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 6400 block of South Eberhart Avenue in the city's Woodlawn neighborhood.
