On July 9, 2014, at approximately 4 a.m., 25-year-old Jasmine Curry, a pregnant African American mother of five, was fatally shot while driving her blue 2005 Dodge Caravan on the southbound lanes of Chicago's Dan Ryan Expressway near 59th Street.
