Antwan James, a 46-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on July 21, 2014, in the West Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in an alley, and he was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed his death.
