Marcus McCarty, a 14-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on August 24, 2014, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the Austin neighborhood, specifically in the 1100 block of North LeClaire Avenue. According to police reports, Marcus was approached by two males, one of whom was armed and fired shots at him, striking him in the back. The assailants then fled the scene in a dark Infiniti.
