On May 29, 2017, Anthony D. Galvin, a 19-year-old, was shot and killed while standing outside in the Near South Side neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. This tragic incident occurred during a drive-by shooting, which was unfortunately a common method of violence in certain areas of the city that year. The young victim was described as a bright and outgoing individual whose life was tragically cut short by gun violence.
