Marsalis Holman, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 4, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the North Lawndale neighborhood, where Marsalis was fatally shot in the head by his close friend, James Gonnigan. The two were reportedly playing in the kitchen of their home on South Kolin Avenue when the shooting happened.
