Mayron Collier, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on January 29, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the West Pullman neighborhood, where Collier was shot in the head inside a house located on the 11900 block of South Yale Avenue. The shooting also critically injured a 39-year-old man, who was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Collier was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:30 a.m. by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
