Darrin Antwan Langford, a 32-year-old African American male from Rock Island, Illinois, died on April 2, 2015, following an officer-involved shooting. The incident began when Rock Island police officers responded to reports of shots fired near 12th Street and 10th Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers encountered Langford, who was armed.
