Ray Owens, a 27-year-old African American male from Chicago, was tragically shot and killed on June 8, 2015, in Evanston, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Emerson Street, where Owens was found in his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly after at Evanston-NorthShore Hospital. This marked the first homicide in Evanston for the year 2015.
