Cesario Cox, a 45-year-old African American man from Evanston, IL, died on September 15, 2015, after being critically injured in a shooting. The incident occurred on the 1900 block of Emerson Street, where Cox was visiting another individual. Around 5:20 p.m., four individuals approached the building from the rear and began shooting.
