In what was described as a senseless act of violence, 17-year-old Calvin Dehuy Walker Jr., a Black male, was shot and killed on May 6, 2023, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Remembered by his family as an outgoing and loving young man, he was affectionately called 'Jr.'. A sophomore at Douglas High School, he had previously played football at Carl Albert High School and worked at Sonic. His family described him as a great role model to his younger siblings and cousins.
