Kimon De'Shon Wheeler, a 15-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 17, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the city's west side. According to reports, Kimon was hanging out with his cousins when he was approached by three juveniles who attempted to rob him. In an attempt to flee, Kimon was shot in the back. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead later that night.
