Jessie Anthony Alvarez, a 22-year-old resident of Bakersfield, California, tragically lost his life on the evening of May 7, 2020. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. in the area of East 3rd and Whitlock streets in East Bakersfield. According to the Kern County Coroner's Office, Alvarez was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. A postmortem examination confirmed that his death was a homicide.
