On October 18, 2015, 19-year-old Brianna Jenkins, a young African American woman, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when Brianna and a 20-year-old man were sitting in a vehicle in the 7800-block of South Honore Street.
