Jeffery Scott Montgomery, a 50-year-old white male from Fairfield, Illinois, tragically lost his life on December 5, 2015. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest, inflicted by a small-caliber handgun. This incident occurred at his home, where he was found deceased. The Wayne County Coroner, Jimmy Taylor, confirmed the cause of death and noted that Montgomery died at the scene.
