Darius Brown

Darius C. E. Brown, a 13-year-old African American boy, was tragically killed on August 3, 2011, while playing basketball at Metcalfe Park in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood. Darius was an unintended target caught in the crossfire between rival gang members. The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m. when gunfire erupted from a passing car.
