Valentia J. Fresco, a 34-year-old African American male from Rockford, Illinois, tragically lost his life on April 16, 2016. Valentia was celebrating his birthday when he was fatally shot outside the Auburn Manor Apartments in Rockford. The incident occurred after a confrontation with two Metro Enforcement security guards who were patrolling the area. Valentia, who was a father of two young boys, was pronounced dead at the scene.
