Stateman Tamu Hoff, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 15, 2016, in Champaign, Illinois. Born on October 11, 1993, Stateman was a beloved son, brother, and father of two. His untimely death occurred during a violent altercation at a party in northwest Champaign. According to reports, a fight broke out, and Stateman was fatally shot in the abdomen.
