Miranda Oatis, a 26-year-old African American woman from Danville, Illinois, tragically lost her life on May 25, 2016. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 3 a.m., when residents of the 1200 block of Giddings Street reported hearing gunshots and witnessing a woman being chased by a man. Upon arrival, police discovered Miranda Oatis' body in a yard, while the body of 36-year-old Dajunrae Gouard, another victim, was found inside a nearby home. Both victims were from Danv ...
