Zarra Strickland, a 28-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on August 4, 2015, in Danville, Illinois. Her body, along with that of 29-year-old Theodore Hill, was discovered in the yard of a vacant home on Western Avenue. Both victims had sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head. The discovery of their bodies marked the beginning of a complex investigation that would eventually lead to the arrest and conviction of Glenn Torres Jr., a 31-year-old man from Indianapolis.
