Do you know who murdered Jesse? On a Thursday evening, October 6, 2016, a burst of violence at a Roxbury intersection claimed the life of 20-year-old Jesse Dieusinor, a Black male from Florida. The fatal encounter unfolded at approximately 5:30 p.m. near the corner of Dearborn and Ziegler streets. Dieusinor was shot in the head in a brazen attack that took place in front of a school bus carrying three students and a driver.
He was rushed to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting shattered the late afternoon calm, with initial reports suggesting the incident began as a fight that escalated with tragic speed. In the immediate aftermath, the suspect was seen fleeing the scene, heading toward Dudley Station. Boston Police homicide detectives launched an investigation into the killing of Dieusinor, who was a resident of Orlando, Florida. As they delved into his background, a complex picture emerged; at the time of his murder, Dieusinor himself was wanted on a warrant for a homicide in his home state.
In the weeks that followed, the investigation continued, though no arrests were made. Boston Police turned to the public for assistance, releasing information about vehicles of interest that were seen in the area around the time of the shooting. Detectives sought help in identifying a white Ford F-250 pickup truck. Later, they also released surveillance images of a newer model black or dark-blue Nissan Altima that was also linked to the scene. Despite these public appeals for information, the case remained unsolved, leaving the circumstances surrounding the death of Jesse Dieusinor a troubling and open chapter in the city's records of violence.
