Maurice McKnight, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on September 19, 2016, in the Altgeld Gardens neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. in the 13100 block of South Langley Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, McKnight was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:08 p.m. after being shot multiple times.
