Pedro “Pepe” Toledo Catalan, a 57-year-old male, was walking through Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood in the early hours of August 31, 2025, when gunfire erupted near the intersection of 17th Street and Wolcott Avenue. According to police and witnesses, a party in an alley along the 1900 block of West 17th drew an argument that escalated when one person pulled a gun, triggering an exchange of shots among several individuals.
