Donte T. Jones, a 36-year-old African American male, died on October 2, 2016, in Markham, Illinois, following a police-involved shooting. The incident occurred in the early morning hours outside the Stadium nightclub, located at 16300 Dixie Highway. Jones was at the club celebrating a friend's birthday when a large fight broke out in the rear parking lot. The altercation involved between fifty to one hundred people, prompting security to call 911 for assistance.
