Murdered

Gerrod Brown, a 16-year-old Brighton High School student, was shot and killed on the night of October 31, 2017, in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood. Brown was walking home from work when he was caught in what police believed to be an altercation between two groups. He was shot in the chest near Parker Street in the Mildred Hailey development, an area with a history of violence. Brown was discovered shortly before midnight and later succumbed to his injuries.
