This act of desecration led to the arrest of three men: Tyler Greene-Davis, Tyrese Sealy, and Jiovanny Matos. The theft of the headstone was believed to be connected to an ongoing feud between rival gangs, further highlighting the violent street conflict that likely led to Brown's untimely death. While the arrests in the headstone theft brought a measure of resolution to that particular incident, the individuals responsible for the death of Gerrod Brown have yet to be brought to justice.
