In the bustling heart of Boston's Theater District, amidst the holiday lights and throngs of people, a violent confrontation shattered the evening calm on December 11, 2022. Branden Barrett, a 34-year-old Black/African American man from South Weymouth, was shot outside a hotel on Tremont Street. The incident occurred around 9:12 p.m. following what appeared to be an argument involving three men. The sound of gunshots sent chaos through the busy street as people ran for cover.
