In the spring of 2006, the life of a young Black/African American man, Kevin Lee, was tragically cut short on a street in Boston. On the evening of Wednesday, April 19, 2006, police responded to reports of a person shot at 11 Clarkwood Street in the Mattapan neighborhood. There they found 25-year-old Kevin Lee suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.
