Jason Castillo, 28, a Hispanic/Latino male, was discovered on the morning of July 20, 2015, inside an apartment at 50 Brookway Road in Boston’s Roslindale neighborhood. Officers responding to a call about a possible death found him suffering from apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide, marking another life cut short in a quiet residential complex that Monday.
