Bellegarde, a 21-year-old Black man, was enjoying a scooter ride with his uncle through the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. They had just left the home of his mother and grandmother on Hartwell Street and made a stop on Intervale Street. The block was filled with people at the time, the day winding down. Suddenly, a man exited a vehicle, approached Natho, and opened fire, shattering the neighborhood's peace.
