On August 9, 2017, police responded to reports of gunshots in the Dorchester neighborhood, near the intersection of Elder and Eastman Streets. Upon arrival, they were met with a horrific scene: a car engulfed in flames. After firefighters extinguished the blaze, they discovered the bodies of two men inside. One of them was Amilton Dossantos.
