On September 20, 2009, Carl Hentz Belizaire, a 21-year-old from Mattapan, was fatally shot at a house party on Edson Street in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. The shooting occurred around 3:50 a.m., where Belizaire was one of four victims shot at the scene. He was later pronounced dead at Brigham and Women's Hospital, while the other three victims, two men aged 26 and 40, and a 19-year-old woman, survived the attack.
