On July 4, 2008, 40-year-old Timothy Finch was brutally assaulted and killed near Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston, a location bustling with tourists and Fourth of July celebrations. The attack occurred around midday, in broad daylight, at the intersection of North and Union streets. Finch, who was reportedly homeless, was found severely beaten.
