On June 7, 2017, Jacques Mack, a 15-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in a shooting in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. Jacques and his 16-year-old friend, Corey Hill Jr., were standing on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of South Lawndale at approximately 9:06 a.m. when a masked suspect armed with a rifle exited a silver vehicle and opened fire.
