On the morning of August 7, 2017, in Danville, Illinois, authorities responded to reports of gunfire in the 900 block of Fowler Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 24-year-old Brandon Dallas-Hagan, a male from Indianapolis, Indiana, lying in an open field. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the face.
Brandon Dallas-Hagan was remembered by his family as a fierce friend and loving son.
At 24, he was excited about having just purchased his own car and was in the process of securing his own apartment.
Following the discovery, Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden confirmed that an autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. The Danville Police Department initiated a death investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward.
