On the evening of March 8, 2018, 16-year-old Joseph Smith was fatally shot in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the 800 block of North Waller Avenue, a location situated between a Baptist church and a funeral home, with Barney’s Pizza restaurant visible on a nearby corner.
