Lovell Grant, an 18-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on the night of May 8, 2018, in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred when someone from inside a gray Jaguar opened fire, hitting Lovell and a 60-year-old man who was also on the street. Lovell was pronounced dead shortly after the shooting.
