Deantate Lejohn, a 32-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 1, 2018, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the South Side. Lejohn was driving in the 6600 block of South Western Avenue when he was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant. Despite his injuries, he managed to drive three blocks south before crashing into a pole. He was subsequently taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
