Tremel L. Thomas, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on July 22, 2018, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the South Side Englewood neighborhood, where Thomas and two other men were sitting in a parked vehicle around 5:35 a.m. when an unknown assailant fired shots at them. Thomas suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at 7:55 a.m. at the University of Chicago Medical Center. The medical examiner's office ruled his death a homicide.
