Raymond Figgers, a 42-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on July 27, 2018, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred on the sidewalk in the Near West Side neighborhood of Chicago. Figgers was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head around 11:30 p.m. in the first block of South Campbell Avenue. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
