On August 20, 2017, 22-year-old Damian Rowdan, an African American male, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 6:25 p.m. in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side. Rowdan, who resided in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, was on the porch of a home in the 3000 block of West Polk when an assailant opened fire from a passing SUV.
